Meet Melanie

Melanie Harris was raised in the Indianapolis area, where she continues to call home alongside her grown sons—all of whom also reside nearby. A proud graduate of Purdue University, Melanie earned her undergraduate degree with Full Honors, majoring in Interpersonal Communication. Driven by a passion for lifelong learning and personal growth, she went on to achieve two master’s degrees—one in Adult Education and Training and another in Business with a focus in Healthcare Administration.

Melanie’s career has been as dynamic as it is people-focused. She began by working in marketing for a family-owned business while raising her three sons, successfully balancing professional responsibilities with her dedication to motherhood. Her path later led her into the legal field, where she supported numerous attorneys across a variety of legal specializations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Melanie took on a critical leadership role, guiding a team of 25 contact tracers during one of the most challenging times in public health.

Throughout her diverse professional journey, Melanie’s core strength has always been her deep empathy and communication skills. “Speaking with a client and hearing the anxiety in their voice lessen because I can help them is the best part of my day,” she says—highlighting a philosophy rooted in genuine care for others.

Raised by a strong, service-focused, entrepreneurial mother, Melanie developed an early understanding of resilience and service. She remains actively involved in her community, including serving as President of the Board of Directors for the local education foundation. Beyond her professional and civic endeavors, Melanie is a passionate traveler, a devoted dog lover, an enthusiastic foodie, and an avid gardener.
